Claire is a Dressage rider and trainer based in Raby Mere on the Wirral. She has been training and producing dressage horses for over 10 years.
Claire got her first pony when she was 12 years old and quickly specialised into dressage. After qualifying for the Regional Finals in her first affiliated competition, Claire soon found herself being awarded a Wildcard to the National Finals held at Solihull. Rubbing shoulders with some of the best riders in the country and experiencing the electric atmosphere, only spurred Claire on to qualify again!
On finishing her A Levels, Claire took the opportunity to train in Germany and Holland. During this time Claire gained valuable experience in how to care for competition horses and also how to run a professional yard.
Claire purchased an unbroken 3 year old whilst she was abroad and on her return to England she set about producing him. Together they have successfully trained up through the levels, winning 2 Regional Finals and being placed in the top 10 at the National Finals numerous times along the way. Claire is working towards competing him at Intermediare I towards the end of this year.
In 2011 Claire fulfilled her lifetime’s ambition and successfully set up her own livery yard, Bank Farm Equestrian. This has allowed Claire to concentrate on not only the training of her own horses; but for the first time she has been able to offer training, guidance and support to other dressage riders.
